wake up call!!!

As discussed on the show today, the last time I was single, BEANS seemed to take the place of my girlfriend. Well, not totally, but you know what I mean. I was making beans almost non-stop. This time, it seems as though Kenny Chesney will be the focus of my time. At least for a minute. I have surfed a lot of Kenney chesney sites this morning and he seems like a pretty cool guy. Ive never really been a huge country music fan but I’ll try anything once. What do I have to lose right? So im all about Kenny chesney. Im gonna learn about him. Im going to listen to his music. Im going to join his fan club!
We’ll see how that goes!

Pete, pete, pete. I have not given up on you man…but you are going to need to try a lot harder…meanwhile, I may spend considerably less time trying to help. You are going to need to get out there and look for something that you want to do and most of all, something that you can make it to, on time, every day! I have to admit. When I heard that 7am was “too early” for you, I was a little, no, a lot disappointed. Then again, I wake up at 4am every day so maybe I’m not being fair. But later, when I heard that the vet clinic gave you a chance this past Sunday, asking you to show up at 10am so they could “give you a shot”, you showed up at 2pm…man, these people are trying to help you, but you have to help yourself as well. That’s a part of life. These people are running a business and they can’t operate on “pete’s schedule”. (or anyone else’s) they operate on their schedule. And if you wanna work there, or ANYWHERE as far as that’s concerned, you have to conform to their schedule. That’s just life. I would love to sleep until 9 or 10 every morning. But if I want to work here, I have to wake my butt up and hit it! ok, I sound like im preaching. Im just saying pete, (and to any other pete’s out there), get up, get off your ass, and get with it. obviously, there are people out there that will root for the underdog…people want to help people. Its in our nature. I, along with the people on here that posted encouraging words for you, should be a little proof of that. People want the underdog to succeed! But only if the underdog is putting forth some effort!

You are really a good guy, trying your best to help Pete, I just got caught up on your other blog posts. I hope you get over your break up really easily. Its so dang hard to loose someone you love when it was your mainly your own fault for them not wanting you back. Theres a reason for everything. But about pete, maybe you should ask him strait up if he wants to work, if he wants to work on bettering his life. We all have to do things we dont want to to make it. If he tells you he is not that interested in really working, move on. Maybe he is scared to start his life over again. He has lived this way for along time now, he could be blowing smoke up your butt so he wont look like less of a man to you. Be his friend and if he dont want to work, make money, find someone who really does. Regardless, you are a great man, and have a good heart, I love reading your blog and listening to ya’ll every morning. Your parents did a good job raising you. Good Luck today.

Keep preaching! I can’t believe this guy. Even the clinic tried to work around his “schedule”. Don’t feel bad to let Pete go. There’s nothing more you can do for him. He must love his spot at Jack In The Box too much to leave it. What’s up with The Beer Bucket lately?

    Al,

I don’t see why you are so surprised. Pete flat out told you he was happy with how his life is. You can give help where help is wanted but you tried to force it on Pete. Go spend your time looking for somone that truly WANTS help.

I cooked white beans yesterday for the first time and they were awesome!!…plus, beans are loaded with fiber. Maybe try some other recipes to keep your mind busy and off of Bartendica. But I’m sure you are very busy anyway with the grand opening coming up. Can’t wait to see the pictures!!

Al! Since you no longer have a girlfriend, I was thinking-”Wow, it would be a blast if Al went on our “Girlz Gone Cruizin’” cruise with us to Playa del Carmen and Progresso!” You are too much fun, it would be a blast! Our ages range from 20-50ish. I mean I would this would be right up your alley, just to be the “fun guy” on our cruise. None of us would be trying to get the “hook-up”, but maybe we could help you get hooked up with a lucky lady on the boat?! I would think of you to be a form of entertainment for us, you seem like such a good time. It’s just a thought. You probably couldn’t get off of work, but if you could go I bet it would make this cruise even more memorable! Love ya*K

So glad you’re giving kenny chesney a chance…he’s an island boy like you, so you have that in common with him. His lyrics really have a lot of meaning if you listen to the words. I have no doubt you’ll like him & his music.
